Who We Are

A new generation of leaders is emerging, reflecting the diversity of our nation. Across the public, private, and nonprofit industries, we have the opportunity to shape the future of our institutions and society based on principles of justice and equity. What will it take for us to succeed?

It begins with recognizing that there is no separating how we lead, from who we are.

Leaders that are authentic, skillful, and values driven, exemplify what we call leadership in color. Leadership in color resonates, drives outcomes, and is transformative for leaders and their organizations.

Our mission is to be of service to leaders of color through the cultivation of ideas and fellowship, because the world we imagine is possible.

Brandon Taylor

Brandon serves as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at DREAM Charter High School. Originally from South Jamaica, Queens, NY, he wants to ensure that future generations are prepared to address the major social and environmental issues of the future. In his role, he works to cultivate the next generation of leaders by guiding teachers in creating learning opportunities rooted in the pedagogy of play. Developing historically-informed methods of resisting oppression is a critical tenet of his pedagogy and he believes students should see their education as an instrument for social change and be fully engaged with the process while doing it.
